I love these because you can top them with any kind of topping you like.  Add whatever you have or whatever sounds good.  Since blood oranges are in season and I’m obsessed with them we usually cover our bowls with slices of them.  So so good.  I’ve also been on a huge pineapple kick lately.  I love buying a fresh one and cutting then placing it in the freezer.  Nothing better than frozen pineapple.

Winter Acai Bowl

  • Serves: 1


  • 1 packet acai, frozen
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup cranberry juice, (or orange juice)


  • 1/4 cup pineapple chunks, frozen or fresh
  • 2 tablespoons coconut flakes
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 banana, sliced thin
  • 1/2 blood orange segments
  • 2 tablespoons blueberries


  1. In a blender blend acai, frozen banana, almond milk and cranberry juice until completely smooth and thick.
  2. Pour into bowl and top with desired toppings.
