Thanksgiving 2012

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Over the past few weeks my family and I have been writing down things we are thankful for and putting them in a jar.  This year we are doing a bit of an untraditional meal.  We are going up in the beautiful mountains we are surrounded by and carrying a picinic with us.  After our picnic luch we will read aloud all the things we are thankful for.  I wish my whole family could be with us for a big traditional meal.  But some times you just have to appreciate and be thankful for what you do have.

This sounds like the perfect way to spend Thanksgiving. I also love the idea of the “thankful” jar. We all need a healthy dose of gratitude, and what better way to make you aware than a jar full of it!
