Spicy Shrimp and Avocado Sliders

I love using Hawaiian slider buns because they add a hint of sweetness to the garlic spicy shrimp. The whole sandwich comes together with a fresh creamy avocado spread, made with California avocados. This simple spread is highlighted with the refreshing taste of lemon and a pinch of red pepper. Making this a pretty grand slider your mom is sure to appreciate!

Spicy Shrimp and Avocado Sliders

Serves: 4 sliders
These mini sliders are an elegant and decadent touch. Taking only minutes to prepare this is my kind of Mother’s Day recipe.
Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb shrimp
  • 4 Hawaiian slider buns
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ California Avocado
  • ¼ tsp red pepper
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl combine avocado, red pepper and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In a sauté pan heat olive oil.
  4. Add in garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Carefully add in shrimp.
  6. Saute shrimp until pink and tender.
  7. Season with chili powder and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  8. Set aside
  9. In same sauté pan brown buns.
  10. To assemble add a small amount of avocado to each.
  11. Top with shrimp and garlic.
  12. Serve.
