Simple foods make me happy. Really happy. These scones are downright wonderful. Jonathan ate six of them, in one day. I don’t suggest this kind of behavior but they were so good.
Scones are the perfect morning treat or afternoon snack. They go well with morning coffee or afternoon tea. I must say the hint of orange in this recipe is quite refreshing.
You know when you go to a coffee shop and get a scone that is so sweet you can’t even eat the whole thing? I hate that. These orange scones have just a hint of sweetness so you can really concentrate on the orange flavor.
Make these on Sunday morning, for a refreshing breakfast. They come and go quickly.
