Whenever I go to an Italian restaurant I almost always get the ravioli! They are one of my favorites. Who doesn’t love a pasta pocket filled with a little suprise in the middle? It’s like Christmas with all over again!
When FoodBuzz Tastmaker sent me a coupon for Buitoni Riserva Pasta I was curious. I’m not a frozen meal kind of person. Most frozen entrees lack flavor and are loaded with sodiun and nasty preservatives. But when I saw in the freeze case Buitoni Riserva Pasta had a shrimp and lobester ravioli with a garlic butter sauce, I knew I had to try it!
To round out this dish I added a few extra’s to make it more substanial for my family of three. I addes 3/4 lb of sauteed shrimp and about a cup of steamed broccoli. Honestly, after preparing it there was really no need for the extra shrimp there was plenty of ravioli to feed three people if you severed a veggie side and salad with it.
I was in complete shock how flavorful the garlic sauce was! It was not overly salty and didn’t taste watered down. Many people have complained about there being way too much sauce for the amount of raviolis you get, but after my additions it was the perfect amount. It was amazing to see big chunks of shrimp and lobster inside! I knew what I was eating and didn’t have to guess at the ingredients, seeing actual chunks of shrimp and lobster made my heart swoon!! love.
Everyone in the family loved this dish as well. Next time, I put this $9.99 meal in my grocery cart I will not cringe. At first I thought the price was a bit steep. Now, I know this was worth every penny and is quite a steal when you think about going to an Italian restaurant you would pay $13-20 for a lobster ravioli! I feel this dish was quite comparable to something you would order out at a nice Italian eatery.
I hope all you ravioli lovers will try this! You won’t have to mess with getting all dolled up to go out to eat. Nope, have a fancy-shmancy Italian dinner in your comfy pajamas if you so desire, thanks to Buitoni Riserva Pasta! Raviolis and pajamas…could life get any better?
thank you FoodBuzz Tastmaker!
{mom you need to try these}

This looks really great and I think we’ll be having it soon. I know Lobster ravioli isn’t that cheap in Little Italy in Boston so will give it a try and let you know!
