I’m always dying to make homemade ice cream but I don’t own an ice cream maker. Whenever I hear my sister going on about all the yummy varieties she makes and when seeing all the blogs around town have amazing photos of their home-made ice creams I can’t help but feel like I’m way out of the loop.

I despise being out of the loop. It makes me anxious. So I took matters into my own hands and made my own no churn ice cream.

And guess what? It tastes just like the real deal! It’s super creamy and the strawberries lend the most refreshing summerish flavor you will want to dive right into it, head first. Whenever I’m eating a bowl of strawberry I cream I feel like I should be in a cotton dress sitting in a porch swing watching the sun go down. But at last I’m usually parked in front of the freezer with my spoon in hand trying to cool off.

I’m off to whip up some more varieties of ice cream. A dairy coma may be in order. Bring on the elastic banded pants.

I’m SO intrigued! I want to try this! I get super jealous when I see all of the ice cream recipes out there too…but I just can’t justify buying a big ole ice cream machine
Ha! Ice cream machines are TOTALLY worth the splurge and ice cream in any way, shape or form is also TOTALLY justifiable!
However, this looks really good, and almost like strawberry CHEESECAKE ice cream…it just has that lovely shade of milky deliciousness to it. Yum. I can’t wait to see what other flavors you play with. Pumpkin season is coming up…
I agree with Kelly– an ice cream maker is totally worth the splurge! It’s good to have this recipe in your back pocket if you don’t have one though!
