Cauliflower Turmeric Soup

Full of simple vibrant ingredients, this cauliflower turmeric soup is perfect for cold winter evenings.

I made this soup a few weekends ago and it was the most comforting Sunday lunch.  It was cold outside and I had been feeling kind of blah.  This was just what I needed to get the winter blahs out of my system.

This cauliflower soup is light and filling.  I love the bright color and amazing texture.  It’s creamy, smooth and so flavorful.

I topped my bowl off with a few pieces of roasted cauliflower chunks.  You could top your’s with some crusty breads pieces, roasted chickpeas, grated Parmesan.

Cauliflower Turmeric Soup

  • Prep Time: 15m
  • Cook Time: 30m
  • Total Time: 45m
  • Serves: 3


  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cauliflower florets
  • 1 large potato, peeled and diced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes


  1. Heat olive oil in pot over medium heat.
  2. Add in garlic and saute until just tender.
  3. Add in cauliflower and potato.
  4. Add in seasonings and stir around the cauliflower mixture for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in broth and let simmer for 25 minutes or until cauliflower and potato are tender.
  6. Using a handheld immersion blender puree soup until velvety smooth.
  7. Add any desired toppings and serve.
